Breaking: Paramount-Warner Bros. Deal Set to Bring New Skydance Name and SKYD Ticker
NEW YORK — October 2, 2026 — The proposed combination of Paramount Skydance Corporation and Warner Bros.
Discovery has moved closer to completion following judicial approval of an agreement that clears a major legal hurdle for the transaction.
The companies are currently targeting October 6, 2026, for the closing of the merger, subject to the remaining customary closing conditions. Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Skydance announced the anticipated closing date on September 30.
As part of the transition, Paramount Skydance plans to adopt Skydance Corporation as its corporate name and change its Class B stock ticker from PSKY to SKYD.
The company’s shares are also scheduled to move from the Nasdaq Stock Market to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), with trading under the new ticker expected to begin around the October 6 market open.
