Why Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, And The Royals Chose Not To Celebrate Lilibet’s Birthday Publicly: Here’s what we know
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter Lilibet turned three recently, but the couple chose to keep the details of her birthday festivities private. The royal family also hasn’t acknowledged the big day on social media. Their silence comes a few months after they drew attention for removing Lili and brother Archie’s bio pages from the royals’ website.
Still, some details have emerged about how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated Lili. People reports that over the weekend, Meghan and Harry threw their daughter a party at their Montecito, California, home with close friends, family, and some of Lili’s own pals.
As of 12:30 P.M. ET, the couple has not shared any new photos of Lili or posted about her on their organization Archewell’s site. This isn’t too surprising, as Meghan and Harry have really protected their children’s privacy since stepping back from their working royal family roles and settling in California.
The royal family has also been focused on their own business endeavors. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s last post on their shared Instagram was on May 25. The general royal family Instagram, which focuses on King Charles III and the family’s work, offered a post about the upcoming anniversary of D-Day this morning. It’s worth noting it has been over two years since the royals have shared a birthday post or Instagram Story for Lili.
For Meghan’s own birthday in 2022, the royals opted to post Instagram Stories. They have scaled back on family birthday wishes in the years since, keeping their accounts almost entirely work-focused.
