WATCH: How Taylor Swift Paid Tribute to Travis Kelce Despite Him Missing First Dublin Show but….Details
While she was singing her track “Midnight Rain,” the star referenced Kelce by striking his archer pose, a gesture the NFL player makes to the fans before joining the Kansas City Chiefs on the field. Swift has done this before, usually when performing “The Archer.” “I do the archer pose when I enter the stadium because I wanted to do something when I ran out of the tunnel,” he said. “What’s really been motivating for me is to dream big, always shoot for the stars. So, I’m always out there shooting for the stars.”
The playful imitation wasn’t Swift’s only acknowledgment of Kelce that night. Page Six reports that she also wore her Tiffany & Co. diamond wire ring. The piece includes the couple’s initials.
The pair spent a lot of time together last weekend, with Kelce in attendance at all three of her shows at Wembley Stadium. On the third night, he joined her parents Scott and Andrea in the VIP box and then made a surprise appearance on stage. The football player was wearing a full tuxedo and top hat, just like Swift’s dancers.
Swift shared photos of the big moment on Instagram, writing, “Wembley Stadium round one was so surreal. Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard. Acoustic sections went OFF.”
She continued, “I got to sing ‘Castles Crumbling’ with @yelyahwilliams for the first time – hadn’t performed with her since 2011 and man my heart was just so full of love for her and our friendship. Then the impossibly gifted and wonderful @gracieabrams came and surprised the crowd with the first performance of our song ‘us.’ And I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut 🥰 Never going to forget these shows. Can’t wait to do it 5 more times in August.”
