Travis Kelce’s partner reveals how he was conquered by Taylor Swift in just one night
Harrison Butker is the Kansas City Chiefs’ lead kicker.
Taylor Swift’s impact on the NFL has been felt around the world, but most notably within the Kansas City Chiefs’ sphere as Travis Kelce and Brittany Mahomes have hit new heights of fame but they’re not the only ones who were starstruck by the popstar as Harrison Butker revealed she left him wowed in a single meeting.
Butker isn’t just a normal person. The Chiefs’ kicker earns $3.5 million dollars per year and is a three-time Super Bowl champion (LIV, LVII, LVIII) so he enjoys quite a high profile and level of fame himself but that is simply dwarfed by the Eras Tour singer. On New Years’ Eve (December 31), he finally got to meet the 34-year-old, who is dating Kelce, and admitted she left him stunned as he pointed out her own humility despite being one of the biggest names in the world, period.
“I wouldn’t say I’m a Swiftie,” Butker said to EWTN News in Depth. “She was just so humble and gracious. She thinks that’s amazing that I can kick the ball so far through the uprights. “I was a little nervous to meet Taylor Swift… I mean, it’s Taylor Swift. So, maybe I am a Swiftie, if I was nervous to meet her, but it was a great experience, and I can’t say enough great things about her… I hope they get married and start a family!”
The final game of the season saw the Chiefs emerge victorious over the San Francisco 49ers at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as Patrick Mahomes threw the game-winning touchdown to Mercole Hardman to earn a 25-22 overtime win. It won the franchise the fourth Super Bowl ring in their history (1969, 2019, 2022, 2023) as they proved to be the best team in the league again, with their defense shutting down Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey.
So when will they get the chance to defend their crown? They will aim to begin 2024 on a better note than 2023 when they were defeated on the opening night by the Detroit Lions. The opening game of the season will take place on Thursday September 5 when the Chiefs will open the season at the Arrowhead Stadium, as is custom, although their opponent is not yet known.
