Travis Kelce criticized by Taylor Swift fans for disrespecting her during her concert
While some fans were quick to judge Travis Kelce for ignoring the concert, others wanted him to be left alone.
Kansas City Chiefs’ star Travis Kelce made a trip to Singapore to accompany girlfriend Taylor Swift as part of her ‘Eras Tour’ international leg. The tight end was spotted by a concert goer who attempted to put him on blast for seeming distracted during his girlfriend’s presentation. An Instagram story showed the NFL player focused on his phone with a caption that alluded to Travis not being supportive of Taylor.
Swifties were quick to jump in his defense against the evident attempt to discredit him. Folks who jumped in his defense used the argument that today, people have a hard time not looking at their phone for extended periods of time. The video was obtained by the folks at TMZ. During the moment that was caught on the footage, Swift was singing her 2012 single ‘I Knew You Were In Trouble’. A fan who filmed the moment wrote a cryptic message: ‘It’s giving supportive bf.”
Which was initially misunderstood but then Swifties saw the meaning behind the message, a clear attack to paint Travis in a negative light. Nobody knows if he was doing something extremely important on his phone or even a life and death situation. Folks in his defense said stuff such as: “Very few people go without glancing at their phone for 4 hours at a time, leave him be.”
But that video was apparently taken out of context, it was only a brief moment that they decided to film and publish online. The rest of the concert was thoroughly enjoyed by Travis Kelce, according to reports from people who were at the event in Singapore. Plus, a language barrier will keep anybody isolated in a country where English is not the first language. At a certain moment, there were also some snapshots and videos of Travis Kelce dancing to other songs from his girlfriend.
