When Travis Kelce appeared onstage with Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour literally marked a new era in their relationship of almost a year, a source tells Entertainment Tonight. It was a serious step for them and one that could foreshadow greater leaps to come.

As the source explained, “It was definitely a new, defining point in their relationship and they had a blast getting the chance to [share] a personal side of themselves with the world. They are so happy with how everything turned out and loved seeing all the fan reactions.”

The source teased that Kelce’s stage appearance, where he wore a suit and carried Swift, who was outfitted in a white ensemble, could have a deeper layer to it. “They are a naturally bonded pair,” the insider stated. “It was a very special experience for them and also hints at what their future might hold together.”

When practicing during rehearsals, Kelce and Swift “were so cute and sweet with each other,” the source added. Swift is playing her first show in Dublin now. Kelce hasn’t been seen in the crowd yet or onstage. It is unclear whether Kelce traveled with Swift to Ireland or if he needed to return to the U.S. for work. A source told Entertainment Tonight earlier this week though that another performance with Swift is very possible. Kelce can learn fast, after all.

The insider explained, “Travis only had one night of rehearsal, the evening before he performed onstage, and didn’t miss a beat. Taylor was beaming from ear to ear as Travis took on the dapper role. The two are hoping he can make a cameo again in the future.”

The new update from Entertainment Tonight comes after Kelce himself gushed about falling for Swift in an interview released on June 24 and recorded on June 19. He told the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast that he isn’t afraid to talk about her in interviews. “Yeah, you want to keep things private but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” he said. “Like that’s my girl.

You know what I mean? That’s my lady so it’s like I’m proud of that so I’m not here trying to juggle how can I keep this under wraps. You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.” He also said he fell for her because of “how genuine she is around friends, family. It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool. And that’s what I can admire for sure.”
