Taylor Swift lands her private jet at Stansted airport with crates of booze ahead of Wembley shows
Taylor Swift mania has hit London with the songstress landing at Stansted airport ahead of her upcoming London Eras Tour shows. The pop sensation, 34, certainly looked like she was in party mood as she touched down with crates of boozes ahead of Friday’s concert. The eagerly anticipated show is the first of three Wembley shows in a row for the Shake It Off star.
Along with her crew, Taylor stepped out of her lavish aircraft into the darkness and quickly loaded up her 4x4s. Their landing came just hours before Just Stop Oil activists broke into a VIP private airfield at Stansted airport and spray painted aircraft. An arrest has now been made following the break-in. Taylor’s plane isn’t said to have been in the area when the activists struck.
Taylor’s arrival follows successful gigs in Scotland, Liverpool and Cardiff – which had its roof shut for a special atmosphere – as the UK leg of her huge worldwide tour takes shape. Ahead of her London shows, it emerged that Taylor made a huge £450 kebab order from a tiny takeaway for herself and her beloved crew.
The shop in Kentish Town, which is called Kentish Delight, is said to have taken the order, which a source says someone from Team Swift will collect on the night. Speaking to The Sun, the source said: “It’s a big order but the kebab house can handle it,” with them even revealing what Taylor’s order from the food joint looks like. They said: “Taylor adds garlic sauce to hers, as well as heaps of salad.”
The three sold-out gigs will then be followed by five more in August and it’s said Taylor mania is expected to boost the London economy by £300 million. To celebrate her arrival in the capital, murals, a special Tube map, a Taylor trail and a series of events have been created to entertain the Swifties.
Fans have even announced plans to create a “special moment” at some of her upcoming shows on her tour of the UK, in a bid to express their love for the musician. Ahead of the her London dates, some Swifties are organizing a display from the audience to express their support. It has been suggested that Taylor has “unhappy memories” of the capital city, with the fans hoping to instead “ensure” that she “remembers” London because of “the love she receives”.
It remains to be seen what tweaks Taylor will make to her London gigs after a number of surprises at her other UK concerts. In Wales, Taylor stunned her audience as she greeted them in Welsh.
