The prince was “absolutely furious and in tears” royal expert and author Tom Quinn says of the decision by the future King Charles, which came about as Harry and Meghan opted to make the United Stated their main residence.
Meanwhile the duke’s brother Prince William has been seen twice in public over the past week; at an Aston Villa match, and most recently helping with a homeless charity.
It’s been claimed that the visits had the intention of sending a “back-to-business” message, after a rocky few months for the Royal Family. It comes after King Charles was seen in public on Sunday as he continues his cancer treatment. The monarch drove Queen Camilla to a morning service.
The couple are staying at the Balmoral estate in Scotland, and a bright-looking Charles was spotted at the wheel for the short drive from the royal property to the nearby church where he and the queen attended the Sunday gathering at Crathie Kirk. Meanwhile a memorial to the late Queen Elizabeth II has been unveiled on what would have been her 98th birthday – the first statue since her death. Cheering crowds and nearly 50 corgis saw the permanent memorial unveiled in the market town of Oakham in Rutland.
