Prince Harry Reveals Why He Never Should’ve Watched Meghan Markle’s Love Scenes on ‘Suits’
Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, is widely known for playing Rachel Zane in the procedural drama Suits. But according to the Duke of Sussex, 39, he didn’t enjoy watching Markle, 42, be intimate with Patrick J. Adams (who plays Mike Ross), even if they were acting.
In a newly resurfaced excerpt from his memoir, Spare, Prince Harry discussed the downside of Markle’s acting career. The royal revealed that he made “the mistake of Googling and watching some of her love scenes online.” He continued, “I’d witnessed her and a castmate mauling each other in some sort of office or conference room… It would take electric-shock therapy to get those images out of my head. I didn’t need to see such things live.”
Prince Harry admitted that these intimate scenes were often monitored by the palace, which affected the writing process. “The show writers were frustrated, because they were often advised by the Palace comms team to change lines of dialogue, what her character would do, how she would act,” he said.
The royal also revealed that his brother, Prince William, and his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, were big fans of the show. “Willy and Kate explained that they were regular—nay, religious—viewers of Suits,” he wrote. “All this time I’d thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph.” It’s safe to say that Prince Harry learned his lesson.
