Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not close with the Royal Family, but it seems the Prince and Princess of Wales are open to ending the feud.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have developed a complicated relationship with the Royal Family, having made a number of bombshell accusations after stepping down as senior royals in 2020. However, Harry has expressed his desire to reunite with his family and it seems he isn’t the only one with those dreams.
Prince William and Princess Kate are believed to be “open” to reuniting with Harry and Meghan and putting the past behind them. A source explained how they want to move on from the feud for the sake of their three children. “They want a relationship with Meghan and Harry, and they don’t want the acrimony to carry over to the next generation,” the source told Us Magazine, explaining how Kate and William want their three children to have a connection with Meghan and Harry’s children.
The source said “they want to mend fences with them for the kids’ sake,” with a second source agreeing that Harry and Meghan feel the same way. The publication also reported that Princess Kate is “willing” to talk to Harry when he visits the UK next week as she is “done with all the bad blood.”
The Duke of Sussex will be back in London next week and will stay for three days. His trip is in aid of the Invictus Games. Harry will be meeting with his father King Charles during his stay, but it is currently unclear if he will reunite with his brother. A source previously told The Mirror : “Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can. He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned.”
Royal sources insisted that despite having a busy diary next week, Charles intends to see his estranged son. However, speaking about Harry’s relationship with William, a source said: “Their relationship remains extremely fractured. Harry has privately expressed a wish to sit down with his brother but now is not the time.” The Duke of Sussex is due to arrive in London on Tuesday. It will be his second time in the UK this year, having travelled back in February when it was announced King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer.
