Patrick Mahomes unveils prices for his restaurant with Travis Kelce and fans already want to try the menu
The Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback will open 1587 Prime with Travis Kelce.
After a successful NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs, their star quarterback and star tight end, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, have celebrated by launching their first joint business venture together, Prime 1587 Steakhouse, which places economic affordability at its heart. With a combined net worth of $100 million between them, and Mahomes being on a $450m contract, the pair are not exactly strapped for cash. This has allowed them to give something back the city that has supported them through their NFL careers, and Mahomes confirmed this to media.
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes make Kansas City soccer crowd go crazy. “I’m sure there will be some things on there that will be $15,” Mahomes said to Fox 4 Kansas City on March 22. “All honesty though, we thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high-priced, that not everybody can go.” Mahomes will link up with Noble 33 to launch the business, which also is associated with New York’s Meduza Mediterrania and Las Vegas’ Toca Madera – both high-quality restaurants with a reputation to match.
Mahomes-Kelce’s joint will open at the Loews Hotel on Wyandotte Street, Kansas City (MI), and will have two floors and around 10000 square feet of space. When will the steakhouse open? Currently, there is no official, estimated or projected opening time other than somewhere around next year’s NFL play-offs, which will take place between January and February 2024.
“Me and Travis have been working on that for a while,” Mahomes added. “We’re always together. We’re always at these restaurants, and we have a love for bringing people together. “We’re going to do whatever we can to continue to bring people together and what better place than Kansas City.” Kelce has been focusing on his post-NFL life of late as he pursues business goals such as Prime 1857 and television/film production as the 34-year-old bids to wind down his career as it enters its twilight phase.
