Meghan Markle makes Prince Harry’s life miserable by snubbing UK visit; Royal expert has said people are likely to accuse Meghan Markle of being ‘selfish’ by snubbing the UK
The Duchess of Sussex will not join her husband, Prince Harry, during his visit to London as he takes part in a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral.
The reason why Meghan will not join the Duke of Sussex has not been revealed, but royal experts believe she fears “waves of abuse” if she returns to the UK. Meghan last visited the UK in September 2022 and made no return last year or this year, so far. Now, royal expert and author Tom Quinn said it seems that, by not travelling to England, Meghan might be “holding grudges” against the Royal Family – and this could cause people to brand her “selfish”.
The author told us: “Meghan will be accused of being selfish by not coming to see King Charles and Kate. Everyone in the UK knows what it’s like to have a family row, but few of us take family rows to the extreme as Meghan has done. “People are beginning to ask why can’t Meghan just grow up and accept that families fall out but that holding grudges is just selfish and immature.”
Quinn’s comments come after ITV News’ royal correspondent Chris Ship recalled that when Harry and Meghan were booed by royalists at St Paul’s Cathedral when attending a service for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The expert told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show that Meghan would not want to experience that again. “The difficulty is you remember last time they went to St Paul’s Cathedral, which was for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, they got booed,” he said.
