Marquez Valdes-Scantling at war with Mahomes and Andy Reid: Signs for the team that wants to end Chiefs dynasty: The wide receiver made the decision to join a rival team for one year
According to both Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Marquez Valdes-Scantling has made the decision to sign a new contract with a different team.
Despite having won two Super Bowl rings with the Kansas City Chiefs already with a 16-yard touchdown pass included at the Super Bowl LVIII. Scantling has made the decision to leave his team and sign for the Buffalo Bills for one season. He started his career at the Green Bay Packers and spent four seasons there before moving to the Chiefs.
Although activity on the field has been scarce, we are still talking about a talented wide receiver who has a lot to offer to any team he represents.
Last season, wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling wasn’t able to play as many minutes as he wanted for the Kansas City Chiefs.. Now that a new season is getting ready to start after the summer, this player made the decision to leave Kansas and make a switch to play for a new team.
Amongst the many different reasons he decided to leave, Valdes-Scantling felt like he didn’t get the activity he wanted at the Chiefs under coach Andy Reid’s commands. During the two seasons he played there, the WR managed to be part of 10 games and only got 21 receptions with 315 receiving yards and one touchdown. Valdes-Scantling clearly feels he neds more participation and decided accordingly on Tuesday, May 14.
During a six-year career, Marquez Valdes-Scantling has played a total of 92 games with 186 receptions and a total of 3,155 yards with 16 touch downs. The Buffalo Bills are one of the up-and-coming NFL franchises with serious plans to overcome the Kansas City Chiefs’ dominance. With this new arrival, they hope to not only get a world-class wide receiver but also get some inside information about how the Chiefs operate on a daily basis. Could this new arrival work well at the Buffalo BIlls and how much will they upgrade their level of performance with this new WR?
