Live: Taylor Swift LIVE updates ahead of London shows as Travis expected to attend and More than 600,000 Swifties expected to descend on London
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has arrived in London, with the singer due to take to the stage tomorrow to kick off a trio of shows for Swifties who booked their tickets a year ago. Taylor Swift has finally returned to London after bidding it farewell after her split from Joe Alwyn, with the hitmaker due to perform a trio of shows at Wembley Stadium starting tomorrow night (June 21).
The 34-year-old hitmaker has just wrapped up seven shows across the UK. Earlier this month, she opened up her UK shows in Edinburgh at the Murrayfield Stadium. She then headed to Liverpool for a further three shows at Anfield, and then traveled to Wales for one singular show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Taylor’s feet are now firmly in the capital city of London, with her due to perform her three-hour-long Eras Tour setlist for thousands of adoring fans at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 22 and 23. Although she’s only performing three shows in the capital city this month, she will be back in August for a further five shows at Wembley on 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20. The American sweetheart is thought to have resided in London for a short period of time while she dated her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. Taylor dated the British actor for six years, with their split coming to light in April 2023.
It is believed that Taylor’s song, So Long, London, which is track five on The Tortured Poets Department, is about her ex-boyfriend and the end of their relationship. In the song, she sings: “I left all I knew, you left me at the house by the Heath,” which is thought to be about how the pair resided in Hampstead Heath after she left the States to be with him in London.
Also in the emotional song, Taylor sings: “You swore that you loved me but where were the clues? / I died on the altar waiting for the proof / You sacrificed us to the gods of your bluest days / And I’m just getting color back into my face / I’m just mad as hell cause I loved this place / For so long, London / Had a good run / A moment of warm sun / But I’m not the one.”
But all is not lost, because Taylor is now happily loved up with American football player Travis Kelce, whom she has been dating since the summer of 2023 after he attended one of her shows in July. It is thought that Travis and the Kelce family will attend the Eras Tour shows in London, with fans speculating that they will all show up for the hitmaker as she takes the capital city by storm at the huge stadium.
