Brittany Mahomes has bad blood with NFL fans who hate on her newfound BFF Taylor Swift.
The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to her Instagram Stories Friday to repost a quote from Charles Barkley, in which the CNN talking head, 60, said, “If you’re screaming at Taylor Swift saying she ruined [football], you’re just a loser.”
Brittany, 28, wrote alongside the quote, “Let. Them. Know.” The WAG is coming to Swift’s defense after a clip of the pop superstar leaving the Chiefs’ latest game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium went viral, and a fan can be heard shouting in the video, “You’re ruining football. You ruined football.”
Brittany speaking up comes as no surprise as the mother of two has formed a tight-knit bond with Swift, 34, ever since the “Love Story” singer began dating her husband’s best friend and teammate, Travis Kelce. The two have been seen attending various Chiefs games together throughout the country, with the most recent sighting being when they wore matching AFC championship hats after Kansas City beat Baltimore.
A source also told Page Six exclusively this week that Swift — who has been confirmed via Page Six sources to be attending Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas after a whirlwind trip from Japan — will likely sit with Brittany in a suite for the big game since “they are close.” Aside from attending sporting events together, though, the new pals have also spent quality time together outside of football stadiums on dinner dates.
Swift and Brittany had a stylish girls’ night out with Cara Delevigne last month at Nobu in Manhattan. A few days prior to that, the duo were joined by another fellow WAG, Lyndsay Bell, for another dinner outing in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Page Six also exclusively learned in early January that Swift and Brittany had gotten together to celebrate one of the WAG’s birthday at one of Kelce’s favorite Kansas City eateries. Megan Garrelts, the co-owner of Rye restaurant in Leawood, Kan., told us at the time, “All the girls had cocktails, so it was definitely a lively girls night, which was fun to see.”
