Amanda Abbington has openly expressed her distress over her stint on Strictly Come Dancing, detailing the challenging period she faced after deciding to leave the BBC contest.
During a candid interview with Krishnan Guru-Murthy aired on Channel 4 on Wednesday (July 24), the Sherlock star shared her ordeal. Overwhelmed by emotions, Amanda could not hold back tears as she recounted her experience.
Currently in rehearsals for her upcoming play ‘When It Happens To You’ at London’s Park Theatre, Amanda was visibly moved when discussing her emotional state. Tearfully, Amanda revealed: “See you say that question, and I immediately get emotional and start to cry. I’m okay, you know? I’m okay.”
Addressing the difficulties she had been through, she explained how the play reminded her of the care and support possible during rehearsals, contrasting with her recent tough times, saying, “It’s not been easy. This play has certainly reinforced my belief that you can be in a rehearsal room and be nurtured and looked after.
