EXCLUSIVE: “He didn’t bring his to me”: Leonardo DiCaprio and Julia Roberts Chose to Maintain Distance From Armie Hammer Unlike Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr: Armie Hammer Received Support from Industry Friends Amid Allegations and Legal Troubles.
Once a popular fan cast for playing Batman, Armie Hammer has met one of the worst fates a celebrity can ever meet: allegations of s*xual misconduct, including assault and cannibalism. Now just another ousted ‘actor’ with no work in line, Hammer has not been charged by the LA District Attorney due to insufficient evidence.
Yet, bad times continue to follow him around and the actor has been trying to get his life back together, appearing in several interviews trying to share his side of the things. And in a recent interview, the actor revealed how many of his industry pals reached out to him unlike Leonardo DiCaprio or Julia Roberts.
Life turned upside down for Armie Hammer when several s*xual abuse allegations and more were brought against him back in 2021. From alleged cannibalism to being emotionally abusive (see Vulture), the Call Me By Your Name star’s career suffered a major setback and the actor was fired or dropped out from several high-profile roles.
Now broke and forsaken by the industry, the actor has been trying to get his life back together after the LA DA’s Office dropped all the cases against him due to insufficient evidence and the charges being difficult to prove despite a two-year-long investigation (via Deadline). Ever since the actor has been lying low, until now.
The actor recently appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and opened up about how some of his industry pals reached out to him during these troubled times. While he denied that his former co-stars, Julia Roberts or Leonardo DiCaprio, ever reached out to him, Hammer revealed that former castrated-by-Hollywood stars, Robert Downey Jr. and Johnny Depp did help him out during the troubled time.
