I don’t believe she expected her son to inherit Althorpe but one day Prince William will become king and Earl Spencer respects the RF Meghan has attempted to trash William who is part Spencer therefore not welcome at Althorpe or any of the noble families of the UK .

She was trying to get herself inserted into the Spencer family circle, but not in an attempt to have her son named as a male descendant of the Earldom. She is not, as yet, trying to use her children to ingratiate herself into royal circles. She still wants all the attention for herself.

She wants the Spencer family to include her as a member of the Spencer family, as they move in the same circles as the UK royal family. I am sure the Duke of Sussex’s uncle and his aunts love him, as he is their nephew. But they will never agree to having the Duke’s wife join them and act as a representative of the Spencer family.

Harry’s wife wants to be photographed at royal events, so she will appear to be famous, and since she has destroyed any chance she and her husband had with his father’s family, only an association with the Spencer side would ever get her close to Royalty again. If she did then she shows her ignorance. Am not saying she did, I was never privy to any conversations between the two of them. For anyone out there that believes she has any right to do such a thing….she doesn’t. Let me explain…

Lady Diana was born the third daughter of Earl Spencer, though I think her father was only heir to the Spencer title at the time. Shortly after her came her younger brother, the current Earl. Under British law the eldest son was the heir and any daughters, even if older, were relegated. Things have charged a little since 2011 but not retrospectively. The title and the properties went to the heir alone.

The Earl has a son and he is the heir, no matter what anyone says, but if for any reason he passes without an heir of his own then his oldest sister from his father is the heir, he has several sisters.

Supposing all of the daughters of the current Earl also passed without offspring (highly unlikely) then we need to go back to the eldest sister of the current Earl and her children, next his second sister and her children.

Should anything catastrophic happen to all of them, then and only then would Diana’s children be considered. The eldest of which is William, then his three children, then Harry and then Archie. As you can see the Duchess of Sussex is many, many steps away from entitlement to even a bit of grass from the lawn at Althorp never mind ownership. Even she cannot be that deluded.
