Netflix fans have hailed a new series as a ‘masterpiece’ after it was released on the streaming platform last month. However, other viewers gave a less positive reaction as they bemoaned the inclusion of a frustrating plot hole ‘that doesn’t make sense’.
Taking to social media, fans of the show were quick to voice their opinion on the show following its release, as they wrote: ‘Go watch this show. Best thing I’ve seen on Netflix in a long time.’ Another labelled it simply as ‘a masterpiece!’ A six-part drama, Supacell features Tosin Cole as lead star Michael Lasaki, a delivery driver with the ability to teleport and manipulate time.
He is joined by Adelayo Adedayo as Dionne Ofori, Michael’s fiancée, and Eddie Marsan, who’s character is trying to hunt them down. This edgy, six-part British take on the superhero story unfolds in south London, where we’re introduced to a number of people struggling to make ends meet – but have powers they didn’t know existed.
One fan exclaimed: ‘Supacell is a straight 10/10. Netflix has never cooked a meal this good’. ‘Another added: ‘Supacell on Netflix has to be one of my favorite shows this year.’ However, other fans were not so positive in their feedback, as they claimed there was an apparent plot flaw which they were quick to point out. One viewer said: ‘This show just p***** me off.
‘If the powers come from the sickle cell trait and she’s literally a normal person with no sickle cell anything, her death shouldn’t all of a sudden affect how far back he can travel in time…’ ‘When he’s literally travelled to after her death. Back to before her death already?! Am I missing something?’ Another replied: ‘Good question. I’d suggest that Michael’s not yet able to control his ability to undo time’.
