NFL Star Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Lists Kansas City Home for Nearly $3 Million, The ranch-style house features a putting green, heated pool and a five-car garage
After visiting the White House last week, Kansas City Chiefs’s star quarterback Patrick Mahomes may be looking to move up in the world.
The 27-year-old star, who led the team to Super Bowl victory this year for the second time, is now selling his Kansas City, Missouri, ranch house for $2.9 million. Mahomes purchased the home in 2019—two years into his tenure with the Chiefs—for $1.925 million, according to property records.
The gated residence sits on more than an acre of land in a “sought-after subdivision” and “features a putting green, heated pool and hot tub with tons of privacy,” according to the listing with Cami Jones and Paige Buechele of ReeceNichols, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate.
Built in 1953, the 4,759-square-foot home features floor-to-ceiling windows, French doors and hardwood floors throughout, according to listing photos.
It has a semi-open floor plan, and a main living area combines a living room and a family room, both with fireplaces. The chef’s kitchen is also adjacent, and features an island, two ovens and a wall of windows. There’s also a formal dining room and a “completely updated sunroom” on the main level, the listing said. The home has three bedrooms, and the primary suite has a large dressing room—recently “revamped,” according to the listing—and a bathroom with a soaking tub and a separate shower.
Downstairs, the entertainment level features a bar, lounge and a powder room, the listing said. There’s also a motor court, five-car garage and a patio, and the home is surrounded by manicured lawns and mature trees. Mahomes—son of former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes—was drafted by the Chiefs in 2017, and has led them to two Super Bowl victories. The Texas native also has ownership stakes in three sports teams in Kansas City: the city’s National Women’s Soccer League team, the Kansas City Current; Sporting Kansas City, the men’s Major League Soccer team; and the MLB’s Kansas City Royals, according to Sports Illustrated.
